  • "Karma": Early 19th century. From Sanskrit karman "fate, action"  eastern religion Eastern philosophy: the Hindu and Buddhist philosophy according to which the quality of people's current and future lives is determined by their behavior in this and in previous lives.

 

  •  "Investment"; Directly or via French investir from Latin investire "to clothe (in), "ultimately from vestis" clothing (see vest). The underlying idea is of "dressing up" your capital.

 

  • "Capital": 12th century. Via French from Latin capitalis "of the head" from caput "head".

 

  • "Paradigm": Model that forms basis of something: an example that serves as a pattern or model for something, especially one that forms the basis of a methodology or theory
